I know it's been a long time, and even after I said I wouldn't disappear again, I did so immediately. So I won't really say anything about that now. I've been around occasionally and have been reading a few fics this week... that's always a great thing so love and hugs to everyone!

I had a rough evening of PMS'ing and other strange occurences that I was compelled to type out in my quest for catharsis.  Hopefully this will be posted below the cut for anyone who wishes to read it, but it was done for me and me only...  be forewarned, it's pretty sad and dark... and to my amazement, the title occured to me in the end and is unbelieveably appropriate.

Again, this is NOT B/J fic... this was my real life evening and these are memories of actual events exactly as they happened...

So I've spread out the release of my fanvids I made this summer... this one needs to be posted today to help cheer up my beloved Nynot_yet_defined  ... she too had had visions of Brian, Justin, & this particular song & wanted to see it badly when I told her about it.

It's Brian's POV and it's a little angsty but with an unusual and happy ending, so be sure and stick around for it. In addition to figuring out how to include dialog, I managed to actually cut the song and add a little special segment to end the story... *was proud*

For those interested, the 2 part Grey's Anatomy w/Gale Harold is showing on ABC right now Eastern/Central

ETA: There is great music in this ep. When I saw the original airing, I had to go online to find who was singing the song at the end "Revival" It's one of those songs that reaches my gut and stirs me... an unforgettable tune.
I was a big Screaming Trees fan lo and behold... the song is former lead singer Mark Lanegan's group Soulsavers.

Here is a link to the group's video... it is amazing. If no one has done a B/J vid to this yet, I will really have to do one... being that I'm such a huge fan of angst, hurt/comfort, etc... it's a perfect tune for our boys IMO. I have an unnatural attraction to the gut wrenching, you know.

I'm going for coffee, cat food, coffee, peanut butter, and picking up pizza and two 2 liter cokes. I could survive for days! Oh, and toilet paper :p

I saw this statement on the QAF page:

So, does the line read properly? I wanted to keep it short, but I think it's grammatically incorrect but may be correct enough for 'icon speak.' Yes? No? I just didn't want to say 'before I started reading fanfiction... too long.. Originally did 'prostate envy' but am doing a 'penis envy' (because, yes, I have that now too thanks to QAF... I went 41 years without ever wanting a penis or prostate and am now doomed to wonder for eternity) Also decided against 'I never wanted a prostate until fanfiction.'

Being inspired once again after last night's victories, I went hunting for pictures on the Obama flickr site today so I could make icons. When doing this, I look closely at all of the details in the photo... and look what was tucked in the midst of the gazillion pictures... I swear. I had to look up the name of the auditorium on the net to make sure this was real. It's the Dr. Prem Sahai Auditorium in at the medical university in Iowa.

And it's possible no one else has noticed as there wasn't ONE comment on this picture :o

So several days ago, I read </a></a>xie_xie_xie 's Beliefs, which of course, I <i>loved.</i> It was the middle of the night and I didn't post my comment because I was rambling... so I promise Xie, I'll go back and  do it : ) After that,  I went running around and made my way into the incredible pornfilled world of </a></a>vamphile 's Superstar and Visible and just have to say... 'guh.'  So much 'guh' that I then moved on to plumsuede's Conservatory and topped off my pornfest with triciaqaf. In case you didn't miss me, it took me several days to resurface :p  So, those are my personal top four <s>porn</s> writing diva's, feel free to point me in the direction of others!!

I finally bought the Paintshop program so my fun with icon making can continue... am still learning new things every day and hope they continue to improve to the point where everyone will *gasp* upon seeing them as I do with so many others : ) Although, I must say, the subject matter couldn't be more  <s>pornographic</s>  beautiful. I am still very much mesmerized by the site of the boys. This is one of my latest in which I discovered the benefits of playing with the histogram.

I suddenly realized last week when writing the word 'since' that I had suffered a temporary brain impairment and had written it 'sense' for several days prior... I swear, spelling gets harder every year :p

That's all... *hugs* to my flist!

ETA: one day I'll remember when to use html codes and when not to :P ETA more: not_yet_defined :( I read your post... it saddens me. Happy Super Tuesday everyone!

My Georgia family did me proud today - latest headline: Obama wins Georgia!
(based on less than zero percent of the votes according to msnbc...)

I am a 42 year old white woman. I never would have cast my vote simply because Hillary is a woman. Likewise, I didn't cast my vote for Barack Obama because he is African American or bi racial, nor did I vote for him DESPITE the fact that he's African American.

I wish to God that the media would stop acting so surprised and looking only at the female and black aspect of this race and thinking we are just that shallow. Am I thrilled we have a woman and African American candidate? You'd better believe it! Is it the reason behind my vote? Um, no. Just about every media talking head feels compelled to ignore the amazing qualitities of Obama and focus only on the color of his skin and wonder what demographics they can check off as being his.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say--- it defies their petty logic and stereotypical categories. If it were up to them, they would have given my vote to Hillary because that's where my vote 'belongs.'

My hope is that, at least, after tonight, they will finally get it. If not, I promise I won't be nearly as tactful with my words tomorrow :p

But, I will close with this... it is a great day to be an American!

Late addition: Okay, you may have to forget everything I just said because moments ago they announced my state is leaning towards Obama... I had no idea if he had any chance of winning or not... and I didn't depend on any southerners to actually 'get it' so, I kind of am on the verge of tears right now because the idea that a black man could win 2 states in the deep south is just a monumental event and makes me feel less ashamed to live here :) Don't get overly excited though, my state will ultimately go republican in november.

I was going to research, but thought it might be easier more educational and fun for everyone to pose the question here.

Who made the decision to move the primary up in Florida? Officials? Random people?

Was it put to a public vote?

Because if not, aren't the democratic voters of Florida clearly being disenfranchised? Even if the public voted on it, I can think of numerous ways in which people could take issue with this... I don't get how this is legal.

Go ahead, enlighten me... it'll be fun : )
I may even order a pizza.

So Tweak just said “happy single’s awareness day”… is it surprising to anyone that not a day goes by that I’m not aware of my singleness? Perhaps in realizing there’s not much to be happy about on 'normal' days, I should be happy about it just for today?

Because honestly, every day- I am acutely aware every time I come home and no one greets me naked at the door with a cocktail, the dishes aren’t done, the floor not vacuumed, house not dusted, kitchen not mopped, bed not made, shower not scrubbed, dirty clothes still dirty, towels not folded, mail still in mailbox, bills in need of payment, checkbook unbalanced, trash in need of taking out, house cluttered, I’m out of coffee, creamer, sugar, ( those are the worst days for me) the grass growing, fence in need of weed-eating, yard in need of landscaping, plants needing water, refrigerator empty, litter box in need of emptying, or I'm out of catfood... I'm aware that I'm the only person living here.

….and then of course, not a day goes by that I don’t realize I’m not having SEX !

Did I miss anything? My dear single friends, please feel free to add to the list !!! Or if you’re not single and remember the days of old… or want to tell us “be glad you don’t have to …” then by all means, jump right in :)

P.S. Shout out to firehead…. I have the tv on in the background and just heard Number 15 on vh1’sMaxim Hot 100 just state that Guitar Hero is the greatest game ever made :) so I hope that alleviates any shame you may be feeling over your enjoyment of it :p

And they just had a commercial for a 'Rhythym of the 90's' double CD that I think I must buy... because it has Stereo MC's 'Connected' and dammit, I used to dance my ass off to that song!!! I was often single then too, but those were far more fun single days... not only was I in Atlanta for the entire decade, but I was younger and surrounded by queers and/or very colorful wonderful people.
